ABOUT THE ARTIST
One Voice — Many Colours
Raja Saab Qawwal, born from the soil of Punjab, is a versatile singer, Sufi Qawwal, music practitioner, live performer, and music teacher. His singing reflects a unique confluence of the depth of Sufi love, the spirituality of Qawwali, the earthy fragrance of Punjabi folk music, the sweetness of Bollywood, and the depth of classical music.
His voice carries, on one hand, the heart-touching sweetness of Sufi poetry, while on the other, it carries the vibrant spirit of Punjabi folk music and the powerful energy of Qawwali. It is this diversity that gives his singing a distinctive identity of its own.
Born on 13 November 1989 in Ahmedgarh, Punjab, he has shared a deep connection with music since childhood. Music has never been merely an art for him — it is a journey where learning, practice, performing on stage, and sharing music with others move forward together.
